Simpson has "paragraphs" together with a teaser text.

Paragraphs can have different templates, deciding on the layout and individual blocks can be created to go on a paragraph.

Paragraphs can be ordered and moved up and down and HTML and linebreaks can be configured on a per-paragraph basis.

This is the second paragraph - I'll add a block to it now; a Team Menu from the Team module. Any block from any module can be used and the block can come inline with the text or after the paragraph.
